A group of Christian lawyers in Spain have said they will appeal a judge’s decision not to prosecute an artist who stole 240 consecrated Hosts for a blasphemous exhibit. Abel Azcona stripped naked and arranged the Hosts on the floor to spell out the word “pederasty”.

Cuba has pardoned 787 prisoners in response to a Year of Mercy plea from Pope Francis. A statement said those released had not committed “dangerous crimes”.
