Middlesbrough abuse court case opens

A test case claiming compensation against the Diocese of Middlesbrough has begun. Sexual abuse took place at a home part-run by the diocese. If the case succeeds, the Church in Britain could be liable to pay compensation of millions of pounds.

Falklands role for Norbertine prior

Fr Hugh Allan, prior of the Norbertine priory in Chelmsford, has been appointed Apostolic Administrator of the Falklands.
